One of the best update happened last week and it was the introduction of the CLOUD, or in other words, Online Storage. This firmware update (3.60) makes PS3 owners have access to their own Online storage and they can put or take their own save files from there.

There are three good uses for this online storage. The most important is that it allows you to keep your saves safe in case your PS3 suffers the dreadful YLOD or goes down, It even allows you to put protected PS3 save files (the same files that can’t be copy to different accounts or put into a USB. Second, You can access your saves anytime and on any PS3 as the save files are connected to your account. Most importantly, migrating to a new system from an old PS3 would be a cinch. Third, It frees up space for your PS3 HD.

The one thing I didn’t like about the Cloud is it is only available for PS3 PLUS subscriber, so to use it, you have to at least be a member of the PLUS subscription which isn’t a bad thing.

I hope Sony finds more innovative ways to improve the PS3 experience on their next firmware update.

That’s all for now

Peace Out!!
