I named my new Rig as "Cordoba" , It's the most populated city in Spain today and also the wealthiest where in its history it had different occupants ranging from the Vizgoths to the Romans and eventually to Spain when they became a superpower in Europe.

PROCESSOR
Let's me start by talking about the Processor, The q6600 is the best lga755 processor ever, it cost around 300 dollars 2 years ago and now it only costs 125 dollars (if you can find one), luckily my dell optiplex 755 carries one, and as of today, Intel is no longer making this processor. The processor OC ability is legendary, some people were able to overclock it to 4.0 GHZ from the stock 2.4 GHZ and beating Intel's newer CPU the INTEL i7 940, not just beating it, but really owning it..so it's a no brainer that this CPU is staying in "Cordoba"

RAM
My main plan was to OC my cpu, so a new ram is a must, i read that 800mhz is the best frequency to have when OCing your processor, that's why i'm going with the Patriot Gamer Series DDR2 Rams in a 2x2gb configuration. This rams can take in 1.9 V and that's a must especially as a result of OCing, excess voltage goes to your rams and gpu. Patriot is one of the most reliable brand in the RAM business, they are expensive (mine costs 5660php) but very reliable

HD
My old Seagate Barracuda is still a very good HD, it has 7200 RPM with an 8mb cache, it easily beats all the consumer level HD, but the 250gb capacity is very limiting especially to me who likes to download tons of series, I needed a 1 Terabyte HD, i was researching and the best performance for a sataII is 7200RPM and 32mb cache, and following the price per GB rule, the Samsung Spinpoint F3 (SRP PHP 3800PHP) fits the bill perfectly, its cheaper than the Western Digital Caviar Black (SRP 4700 PHP) and Seagate Barracuda (SRP 4200 PHP) and yet on tests the F3 beats those two especially on the read and write, the only time it was beaten is in the power consumption test which it lost to the Barracuda, but hands down it is the best HD in the 1terabyte range

ODD
My Old Lite-On Lightscribe DVDRW 22x is still good enough and even beats the competition today, so changing it is out of the question. I don't use the drive itself because i'm more of a download guy.KEYBOARD
Keyboard is one of the most important parts for the whole PC system, and a good keyboard makes a ton of difference in gaming, so i was looking for a keyboard that is for gaming and the same time cheap, take note a logitech gaming keyboard cost around 4k here in the Philippines, and its not that good anyway, the only thing difference from the other gaming keyboard is the LCD screen it has, but in terms of performance, the whole keyboard is clunky and hard. After tons of time researching i found the best gaming keyboard and the price difference is huge, the OCZ Alchemy Series Elixir Keyboard, it has tons of features and won numerous awards and it only costs 1320 here in the Philippines, for details of its features check my video below

MOUSE
Another important peripheral is the mouse, a gaming mouse is necessary and to do that Razer mouse is not the answer, don't get me wrong the Razer mouse is a good gaming mouse but it used to be the best, the problem with a Razer mouse is that its expensive model lines is the best in terms of performance but they are so darn expensive, ranging from the 5k to 9k, while there consumer level gaming mouses are SHIT,expensive shit, the only reason that consumer buy them because of the brand and the dumbasses consumer who doesn't do their research thinking that buying them they will become great gamers like those who do gaming professionally. but they are wrong, do me a favor, if your reading this and you have a Razer mouse in your hand, which cost 5k or below or 100 dollars or below, punch your face for me will ya. i was researching and once again OCZ makes the best peripheral per budget, I'll be using the OCZ Behemoth Gaming Mouse, it won tons of awards and it only costs 1320 here in the Philippines.

Tune in Tomorrow for the rest of the spoilers

Operation "Cordoba" is a Go

Peace out!!

Man, i live in Cordoba and it is not the most populated city in Spain, nor it is a specially rich one. It was only important during the arab invasion, but the whole spain has been occupied by many different cultures. Where the hell did you get that info about Córdoba.
