I decided not to blog this past few months because of other commintments, I just can’t find the motivation to blog because I’m either too stressed out or just wanna do something else. On December 21 this blog will be back with guns blazing, there are about 8-11 saved drafts on my HD that I haven’t proof read yet, hopefully I can post at least 4 of those by December 21.

PSone was the most memorable console I had, because i had 3 of them (all the original version, I wasn’t able to buy the slim version) and the saddest thing is that none of them work anymore today. The first two consoles I had to disassemble part by part and hoping with a few clean swipes would repair the unit,sadly this was not the case but i can happily say, I had a heck of a good time playing with those consoles.

FAVORITE PSone Memory: It was Game 6 of the first round eastern conference playoffs, My 7th seed New Jersey Devils against the 2nd Seed Boston Bruins. My Team leading 3-2 in the series and the game going to the last 5 minutes with the score 0-0, i suddenly scored a crucial one timer goal via Jason Arnott to Petr Sykora connection, and with the remaining minutes, i was left defending my goal like crazy,every time the opponent would shoot my heart would jump a beat, and every time that the Bruins are in my zone my heart would beat like crazy,until the last seconds ticked off.
After the most grueling battle in my whole life, I celebrated like crazy and in the process kicked the playstation off the table and in the end, it made the whole thing to reset, seriosly I was disappointed, so disappointed that my tears won’t stop running. And I vowed again not to celebrate like crazy after winning a game.

Gearbox software didn’t reveal what game engine they used, but upon seeing some video, i think they will be using the UNREAL 3 game engine, the same engine as Gearbox’s own “Borderlands”.
Expect Duke Nukem Forever to hit all platforms next year. I’m so damn excited!

I’m really liking the DC Universe Animated Original Movies from the Justice League: The New Frontier to the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, I really like how they stay true to the comic and also the violence that comes with, no more those pussy ass censorship targeted for children. Under the Red Hood, follows the “A Death in the Family” and “ Under the Hood” storyline, and in my opinion is one of the best storyline ever,it is basically about the death of Jason Todd, the second Robin, the one who replaced Dick Grayson when Dick Grayson decided to be Nightwing. Jason Todd was killed in action by the Joker, it is well explained in this film and also on how he became the second Red Hood, the first red hood was the Joker before he fell to the chemical that made him the iconic Joker.
He might not be Mark Hamill, but John DiMaggio really did a good job being the Joker, Bruce Greenwood and Jensen Ackles also did a good job being Batman and the Red Hood, the only negative with the cast was Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing, i felt those comedic one liner and his voice wasn’t fitting for the iconic Nightwing.
Overall, the movie was great, it had a great cast and a superior storyline, the only weaklink was the characterization of Nightwing.
PROS: Great Story especially it is just a direct-to-video Film. Great Cast
CONS: Anti-Climatic Ending, Neil Patrick Harris is a bad fit being Nightwing

I saw this movie during it’s premiere and if you are consistently reading my blog, you know that i have been a fan of this movie for months now and this was my no.1 movie to watch this summer.
I have read the comic book prior to watching the movie and to give you some heads up, Mark Millar (author of the comic book) and the writers of the movie basically agreed on a plot to follow, this happened 2 years ago, so to make the story short, the comic book and the movie’s plot are the same, the only differences are that the ending is slightly off compared to the comic book, there are additional scenes in the movie so that you can understand the characters more and the a very key event of someone’s death because in the comics the death was quick and fast while in the movie it was slightly dramatic. Overall, both are the same but if i were to choose, i have to select the movie because it brought some overall completeness with the story.
I really like how they add some additional scenes that were not present in the comics because it made the audience understand the characters more and also like the character at the same time. The movie mostly stars up and comers except for Nicolas cage. Aaron Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse both did a good job in bringing their comic characters to life but for me Chloe Grace Moretz stole the show with her performance of Hit-Girl. You really wanted to cheer her on as she fought the bad guys and also her innocent look and explicit language is a dangerous chemistry that brought the audience laughing to their hearts content.
The only negative i can say with the movie is that it is very violent thus resulting for an R rating, which can hurt it’s box office success. I WANT A DAMN SEQUEL!! so please people, WATCH THIS MOVIE
PROS: Great Story, Improved version of the Comic Book, Great performance by the actors, Chloe Moretz stole the show!!, Worth the damn wait.
CONS: R-rated because of over the top violence, Sequel is still up in the air

Saw this movie 2-3 weeks ago, and this is a good movie. It is about a married couple who feels that the romance of their relationship have feel boring because they keep doing the same old routine over and over again. Until one day, Steve Carell’s character decided to bring his wife, Tina Fey’s character', out for a romantic date like the old times which eventually led them into mistakenly being part of a criminal boss scheme and being involved with corrupt police and politicians.
The movie itself is very funny, and nothing short of good laughs the thing you expect from Steve Carell and Tina Fey. But the one thing that struck me with this movie is the performances of James Franco, Mark Wahlberg and William Fichtner, they never failed to make me laugh in a good way.
The only thing negative about the movie is that it is just a good movie and not a great movie, a typical movie that you will forget 2 years from now. It didn’t have that “WoW” factor that makes a movie memorable.
PROS: Good performance by the Lead cast and also supporting cast. Very Funny, the story was nice with an interesting twist in the end. Good pacing (makes you forget that it has been 2 hours already)
CONS: Didn’t have the ‘WoW’ factor to make the movie memorable
Eijan Says: If you are bored, definitely grab this movie once the DVD comes out, its very funny and truly enjoyable.

I shall keep this review short because my mama says that if you ain’t got nothing nice to say, don’t say nothing at all.
It is hard to find anything positive with this movie, because it really sucks. The plot was bad and so predictable that you can easily get the whole story by just watching the first 5 minutes of this movie. The actors, Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried, were boring as hell and their chemistry is also as boring. The movie took almost 2 hours to finish, and i might say that was the longest 2 hours of my life.
I really don’t know why i downloaded this movie and watched it, i think i was bored that time.
PROS: None *wish there were any
CONS: Everything from the plot to the boring actors
Eijan Says: Nicolas Sparks’ recent writing and story telling sucks big time, i think that releasing books in a fast pace has this affect. He is now just a commercialized author, pity. This movie is also a SKIP IT movie.

As you might have already know, there wouldn’t be any Spiderman 4, instead Sony opted to reboot the franchise which resulted to assembling a new cast for the reboot franchise and also a story much more loyal to the comic book. Early reports suggest that Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) has been the favorite to cast as the new Peter Parker and also the movie will be shown in 3D.
The release date of the movie is on July 3, 2012, the only thing I ponder upon is that if they will use the James Cameron Story board which he made in 1992, I already read the story board and its so damn good because it is really loyal to the comic book especially Peter Parker’s personality which is cocky yet funny unlike the emo-love freaking Peter parker in Raimi’s adaptation (which sucks by the way).

The Expendables is an action movie starring Sylvester Stallone, and also directed and written by Stallone himself (Let’s hope this is not another Rambo). It also stars many of the early 90’s action stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph “Robbers Beware” Lundgren, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke. It also stars the new action stars like Jason Statham, Randy Couture and Steve Austin. And to bring a little bit of humor Terry “odor away” Crews has also been cast.
You might be wondering what is up with the nickname of Dolph Lundgren, well here is the story
Armed robbers fled after discovering the home they had broken into belonged to 'tough guy' actor Dolph Lundgren.
The masked raiders tied up the star's wife and terrorised her into handing over cash and jewellery by threatening her with knives.
But they cut short their raid on the house near Marbella, Spain, after spotting a family photo of the action star and his children in one of the bedrooms.
Luckily for the gang, Lundgren - most famous for playing Russian boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV - was out.
Now back to the topic, the plot of the movie is rather simple:
An assembly of hired guns are sent on a mission to a South American country, with the objective to overturn the cold-blooded despot in charge
And like i said before, a simple plot equals box office success. To add more on this story, I read somewhere in the internet that the big honchos on top really like the screener of the movie and there are already talks not just for one but TWO movies and making this a franchise. I might say, being a die hard action fan, I can’t wait for this movie.

If you read my past blog (LINK HERE) about the PS3 successfully being hacked by the guy who hacked the IPHONE, you might be jumping with excitement and anticipation of running cheap pirated games. I really hate to tell you this, but it seems it will never happen.
The guy who hacked the ps3 used the old PS3 which was the ‘PHAT’ one and by using one of the cool feature of the old ps3 which is installing a LINUX OS to the unit, he was able to bypass the 7 security gates of the PS3, and he told the world by just installing some programs via the LINUX OS, hacking the PS3 would be a breeze.
This is where Sony steps in, as you all know, the SLIM one no longer have the feature of installing a OS, so it seems that the SLIM one is safe from hackers, while the PHAT isn’t. Sony has just released a firmware update last week for the PHAT which disables the installing OS and also makes an installed OS inaccessible. Even though the UPDATE is OPTIONAL, it is still a must because you can’t play any online games until you update your firmware.
Sorry hacker(s) but SONY has the last laugh on this matter.

I was able to watch HTTYD( How To Train Your Dragon) last friday, and what can i say, it was really good. Let me first tell you about the movie, the movie cast consists of:Jay Baruchel - Hiccup
Gerard Butler – Stoick the Vast
Christopher Mintz-Plasse - Fishlegs
Jonah Hill - Snotlout
America Ferrera - Astrid
Craig Ferguson – Gobber the Belch
The story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking teenager named "Hiccup" aspires to follow his tribe's tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at finally gaining the tribe's acceptance, he finds that he no longer has the desire to kill it and instead befriends it.
The movie itself is different from the book, instead of training dragon as the book depicts, the movie instead show the characters fighting dragons, and also there is also a new character introduced in the movie, Astrid, instead being Fishlegs being his best friend/sidekick like in the book, Astrid is now Hiccup’s sidekick and also love interest which is a welcome sight.
It is hard for me to enjoy this kind of movies because they are so cheesy and only childish funny, the last 3d animated film I enjoyed was Toy Story 2 and Aliens vs Monsters, well I’m telling you right now, this one beats all of them, this movie had it all, (humor, Surprises, Drama and even a love story). Another thing i liked with this movie, is on how it was able to use the 3d Effect fully, this was one of the best 3D movies out there, in my opinion, that the 3d effects is much better than Avatar itself. And also Toothless and Hiccup, I feel that their chemistry was one of the best i have ever seen and Toothless’ charisma makes it hard not to like the guy same with Stitch.
This movie is on top of my favorite Animated movie ahead of Toy Story 2.
PROS: It had everything from Child humor to adult humor. It also has one of the best stories out there. The might be the best 3D movie out there, The voice acting were superb, Toothless
CONS: Ending is not child friendly, There are some languages that isn’t for young kinds

Tired of seeing the same User Interface over and over again when you log in to your Facebook account? Don’t you hate it when you have to navigate to countless screens just to see the photo album of your friend. Well, I have the answer for your prayers, Microsoft Silverlight Facebook client, it is basically a stand alone software that introduces a much appealing UI for your FB and also, checking out photo albums is a lot easier. If i were you, you should give this a try, i’m already using this for a month, and can’t imagine navigating FB without it. The only drawback is that it can’t play application games yet (i don’t play those games anyway) and also it lacks the CHAT function in FB but overall, it is a pretty ok product.
I made a video (i actually made one) so that installing it would be just a breeze, just follow the video.
note: it is better if you tune up your volume and view the video at least 720p, 1080p is the recommended of course.

Nintendo has just announced this week that 3DS will be coming before March 2011, with Nintendo hoping to release a press statement at this Year’s E3 event around June.
Here’s the thing that I know about the 3DS, the new 3DS would have a joystick and also a force feedback (vibration) so that the user can feel collisions during game. Also, it would also similar to the DS physical setup, in terms of having 2 screens. It also said that it has better wi-fi capabilities and also a very very long battery supply.
If Sony’s 5 year PSP doesn’t receive any new physical updates from here until next year (psp 2 perhaps?!), it seems that we should be expecting a two way race on Portable Gaming Gadgets next year, with Nintendo’s 3ds battling with Microsoft’s IPAD.
As a note, if Nintendo is planning something similar to this or much better, it seems that the IPAD is in trouble (forget about the PSP, its already old and outdated). This is a video of a game in the DS that uses 3d effects and uses head motion tracking to tell the game where the user is looking so that the game can do the proper adjustment for the 3d effect. THIS IS NOT THE 3DS.

Anyway, the script of this movie has been around Hollywood for more than a decade, until it was green lit, and the good thing about it is that Robert Rodriguez is producing it, if you don’t know who is Robert Rodriguez, well, he is the top protégé of Quentin Tarantino. Robert said that this movie would be loyal to the original , and there are rumors around the internet that Arnold’s character from the original movie is going to have a cameo!! and also the movie’s PLOT IS SIMPLE!!! (see the trailer for the plot)
The one thing I like are movies with simple plot and not those overcomplicated one that are winning the Oscars year after year, because in the EIJAN’s MOVIE THEOREM, movies with simple plots rakes MUCH MUCH MORE money than those movies that wins Oscars with their overcomplicated plot, look for example Hurt Locker, it is considered a financial bust and also The Blind Side. People tend to watch movies with simple plot over and over again, look at Avatar,300, Iron Man.
The movie stars Adrian Brody, Toper Grace and Laurence Fishburne. The predators would be played by Brian Steel (The Relic, Resident Evil: Extinction, The Cave, Hellboy, Underworld, Blade: Trinity, Men in Black II and more) and Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th, The Hills Have Eyes II).

The battle of the next-gen motion controller is now turning ugly, Sony released a video ad yesterday about their new Motion Controller which is entitled “Playstation Move” and on the video, it pokes fun on its competitors.
To refresh your memory about the competition of Motion Controllers among the big 3 of Gaming Console, let me explain it first.
As you know, Nintendo’s flagship for this battle is the Wii,even though Nintendo is the one that introduced the motion controller 3 years ago, and it seems that the outdated system will be receiving a much needed upgrade,which will be in terms of HD gameplay and also a new controller, Nintendo smartly named the new Wii as Wii HD and it will be released on 2011, unfortunately there are no footages of this upgraded system.
Microsoft would be releasing it’s motion controller or…i should say montion-less conrtoller, called “NATAL” within this year. It is basically a add-on Camera for the X-box 360 which smartly captures movements and even VOICE COMMANDS, here is the AD of NATAL; take note: this is just a publicity ad on how the system will perform, it is still not a guarantee that the system would be that great
As another note, playing with an invisible controller (whatever the game requires) seems to be stupid, i rather touch something solid that wack the air with just my hands, it seems awkward especially on GOLF games.
now for Sony, the Playstation Move seems to be the earliest to be released among the three, there are already gameplay videos around the net and also it seems that it utilized both the NATAL and WII, it uses the nanchaku type controller from the Wii and also the camera and voice recognition feature of the Natal. Cool ain’t it, and the best thing about it, is that the MOVE will only cost under 100 dollars, 99 dollars perhaps.

It seems that Microsoft will be following Sony’s footsteps, according to rumors going on the internet, Microsoft would be adapting to the 45nm Processors. Which as a result, the motherboard size would also decrease, in parallel with the physical console case. This can lead to a reduced size of the console, a slimmer version, i’m 100% sure that they will not call it X-Box 360 Slim, but a much cooler name. If my calculation is right, the slimmer version could cost around 200-230 dollars only, which is near the Wii Range and much more cheaper than the PS3 Slim. Its a great time to be a console owners especially with the PS3 MOVE, Microsoft’s Project NATAL and Nintendo’s Wii HD all coming out this year.
