Like what I said in my last post, this article is about the second TV show that caught my attention this upcoming season.
Game Of Thrones

Let the medieval theme continue, Game of Thrones is the TV adaptation of one of my favorite series based novels which is the “A Song of Ice and Fire”. One of the current best selling novels out there

Game of Thrones will be in the care of HBO which is a good thing as almost all the HBO TV series has been critically acclaimed. The series began development in January 2007 and according to the report that it’s budget is the same as HBO’s old show ROME. Which is a good thing and also a bad thing, Rome became one of the best TV shows out there, it has a huge audience and won numerous awards but it was cut short after 2 seasons because it ran out of budget as one episode costs more than 5 million to make. It has been reported that Game of Throne’s pilot costs 5 to 10 million which is scary because of the history of Rome.

Game of Thrones is somewhat a mix of Shakespeare's King Lear with a mix of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. When the king dies, his children inherits the kingdom but when they found out the heir was an illegitimate son, this is where hell broke loose, as the children fight each other for the crown.

The series cast are almost virtually unknown to the US audience, they are made of majority of English actors. The most famous would be Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, National Treasure, Patriot Games, Golden Eye).
The first episode will air on April 17, 2011

I really like how Eddard swings Ice. They did a great job of showing the arm movements required to wield a 2-handed greatsword. Ice is extremely heavy, not exactly a battlefield w eapon, So excited for both the show and Dance of Dragons the new TV show on April.
