Rise of the Planet of the Apes (what a long title) is a prequel to the Planet of the Apes series, The 5 original films not the 2001 Tim Burton Debacle. If you don’t know what the planet of the apes is about, it is basically chronicles the fall of mankind and the rise of some kick ass intelligent apes through the eyes of George Taylor and some protagonist apes.





This movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (RPA for short), is a reboot of the series, I think 20th Century Fox plans to reboot the 5 movies if this prequel proves successful. I was impressed by the CGI work by Weta Workshop (Responsible with the CGI of Avatar) on this movie as the apes really looks real. *Note all the apes were CGI, amazing right? The premise of the movie is simple, A Scientist looking for cure for Alzheimer’s decided to test some experiment serum on apes, and eventually Caesar, one of the ape, begins to mutate rapidly because of the serum and he became intelligent and led a revolution against Mankind.



This movie stars James Franco (Pineapple Express), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Andy Serkis (King Kong) and Tom Felton (Harry Potter), and expect the movie to be released in theaters on August 5 2011.
